Installing your Web Server Certificate
Your certificate will be sent to you by email. The email message includes the web server certificate that you purchased in the body of the email message.
Copy the certificate from the body of the email and paste it into a text editor (such as notepad) to create text files.
- Start the Netscape Enterprise / Suitespot Server Administration page.
- Log in as the web server administrator.
- Select Key and Certificates at the Server Administration page.
- Click Install Certificate on the left side menu frame.
- Select Trusted Certificate Authority (CA).
- Enter certificate name as "
Equifax Secure Certificate Authority".
Select Message Text with headers. Copy and paste the following Trusted Root Certificate into the form and then proceed through the Add Trusted CA Certificate page:

- Now click Install Certificate on the left side menu frame.
- Select This Server under the Certificate for section.
- Leave the certificate name field blank.
- Select Message Text with headers.
- Cut and paste the contents of your Web Server Certificate sent via email into this message box.
- Click Add Certificate to install this certificate into the database.
- Click OK on the popup windows.
Configuring the Server
- Click Server Administration located at the top right of the navigation box. The system returns to the server administration main menu.
- Click the button that indicates your server name.
- Click View Server Settings on the menu list.
Setting Security and encryption.
- Check your Security settings. If it is off, click on Security. The Encryption On/Off page is displayed.
- Click Encryption On. Make sure the alias is associated with this certificate. Click OK.
- Click on Save and Apply.
- Type the password you used when you generated the key pair in the popup window.
- Press Return and the secure server will start running.
Test your certificate by using a browser to connect to your server. Use the https protocol directive (e.g. https://yourserver.com/) to indicate you wish to use secure HTTP.
Note: The padlock icon
on your browser will be displayed in the locked position if your certificates are installed correctly and the server is properly configured for SSL.
